Don't Judge a Fence By Its Markings

I wandered by this fence today that had been placed around a Shinto Shrine. The shrine itself was hard to see as there were many trees blocking my camera view but the fence was an amazing shot as it extended off down the sidewalk in lines of ancient Japanese prayers. Or so I thought. Those markings are actually the names of the people who backed the preservation of the shrine and represent the almighty dollar. I think I am going to stick with the prayer posts. Makes for a better story.
